Should I buy?

I have a chance to buy a used Minelab GPX 5000 for about $700. Looks like it retails for about $4,000. All it needs is a battery but it has a ton of other extra stuff with it.
Is it a good detector? worth buying? Thanks

Check the serial # with Minelab to be certain its real. At that price, its got to be stolen or being sold by the frustrated wife of a detectorist.

Jamie is right.... Call Minelab and have them verify the serial number is authentic.
