i was hunting along the old colonial river road yesterday and recovered some items. i am not sure of the 'HAG" button. does anyone know anything about that button? Also the horse shoe you can see is small but it has the old style square nails still embedded and it is very light to the feel. you can see the size comparison because i have beside the shoe ...2 wheat pennies i also found.

thanks and any help would be great

Eisner was in business from 1890's well into the 20th C. Great grandfather of Disney CEO Michael Eisner. Not sure about the HAG either... Hanover Armory Guard?

Sigmund Eisner Co. was the official outfitter of the Boy Scouts until 1932. But they appear to have made uniforms for all sorts of oganizations.

The "horseshoe" may be a heel cleat from a man's boot.

Is the 'bowtie' made of lead? If so, it looks like a carved bullet. :) Breezie

Shetland Pony shoe, miserable little buggers to put shoes on. I stayed away from them, the shoes had to be hand made, there weren't any machine made shoes that I knew about that were small enough. Luckily there weren't that many of those pony's that needed shoeing, but there was one guy that had a miniature stage coach and a team of Shetlands to pull it in parades. I'm 6'2" tall, and ran the other way. had to cross my legs and hold the foot just above my ankles.
