Even one Buffalo is a sign of a good box in my opinion. Only time will tell what lies beneath.

It was a 1917 really faded date.. had a war nickel (1943 P) same roll. Funny right. . Hope my naysaying pans out well for me.. lol

12 Indian head nickels and three war nickels.. Definite collection dump.. Oldest is 1915.

Definitely a good box. In my area lately each roll seems to be 75% 2012 and newer. Plus side is that it makes it easier to pick out the ones I want to take a closer look at and makes it a bit faster through the box. Down side is that I am finding only one nickel in the box worth keeping. Luckily the last boxes "one good one" was the 1887.

Total break down was

1915, 1916*2, 1917*2, 1918, 1925*2, 1927, 1928, 1936 Indian head nickels

1943, 1943, 1945 war nickels.

Beats my record of 8 buffs in one box. Good work

What is your War Nick record? Unfortunately mine are only 4.. I i'd rather find a war over buffs or V nicks and I've only ever found two of them. .

Same here, 4.

I must be having some real beginner's luck with the nickels. I found 7 war nickels in the first two boxes I bought along with a REALLY nice 1950 d and a 1915 Buffalo. As I have continued to roll hunt, I have found that those first two boxes were not the norm. However I do recover an average of 10 or 12 2009 d's each box. I also pulled a '64, '67, and a 1980 proof half from the very first roll of any denomination that I ever tried. It gave me a false sense of expectation as I got NO keepers from the remaining 29 rolls. 20 more rolls later and now I'm done with halves.
