Silver 1890's battery tram button " Ding-Ding "" all aboard"

Hi all, i found this button last weekend and it has taken me a week to find out a bit about it.
The Sandhurst and Eaglehawk trams started in 1890 and used battery trams. With a year the name of the tramways was changed to the Bendigo Tramways and the battery -trams where replace with a steam-driven tram and 5 years latter to electric trams. The button i found is off a tram-driver uniform circa 1890's.The button was made by a Birmingham Button company and is a 2 piece silver. This would be considered rare.

here a pic of the first batery tram used and the button
