I met up with Shovelnose on Sunday and hit a few spots including a 1950s house site I had mentioned to him. We finally got there and my first coin was a buffalo nickel. I can't remember the last time I dug one. I then got a 1942 Merc and a really cool Boy Scout neck scarf slide. It has a praying George Washington along with three scouts and the motto "Onward for God and My Country." We then hit a football field and my first signal in the end zone was a 925 ring with huge CZ. It was a great hunt and boy I was glad to get out.

Boy! I'll just bet you did an endzone dance when that ring first showed itself! LOL

Thanks for sharing...

Excellent finds ! I'd sure like to see a pic of that ring cleaned up !

That is a neat old Boy Scout slide.

Great finds Jim! All I found over to your west was a clad half and a couple of wheaties (along with several dollars of change).

Nice finds! Yep things get a little exciting when the gold colored items pop out! Then your trying to find the karat marking only to see .925 !!! Check the stone anyhow it may be something other than CZ.
