Silver #30 & a pre 1970's Lesney Matchbox

Did a quick unexpected hunt to end my work day, found 8 wheaties and silver #30 for 2014. A 1956 Roosevelt, then met up with Jesse Christie for an after work hunt. Found 4 more wheaties, an old compact case (still opens) a wicked cool brass shoe ashtray & a cool pre 1970 Lesney Matchbox, #53 of 75...... Check out the two dogs in the back window of the matchbox :-)

I like those older matchbox cars. I had several when i was a kid. Always liked them better than when they came out with the 'superfast' models to compete with Hotwheels.

Matchbox was my toy of choice when I was younger, I still have them so when I find them now I just add them to the collection. It's somewhere around 550-600 cars at this point

All the cars I've found have no tires, next to no paint, and do not clean up very well. Nice to see a pretty one like that! HH
