Heard it was going to be 50 degrees south of I-80 so Earl, Marinedad and I took off Saturday morning looking for some soft ground. Around 9 am we spotted a place so we stopped and checked out the dirt. Diggable!
So we dropped anchor and dressed for the hunt. After about an hour of just clad I decided to work along the parking area to see if I could get better signals. After a few minutes I got a solid 12-45 at 7 inches. I flipped the plug and saw the glimmer of silver. A 1962-D Rosie.
Silver #7 for 2013! After I filled the hole I stood up and got another solid 12-45 at 5 inches about a foot away. Another Rosie?
No, it was a four inch piece of silver chain. The mower must have got the rest of it. Anyway, I also got two Wheaties and 30 clad coins totaling $2.89. Happy hunting to everyone!
