Today I had 2 hours between appointments soooooo off I went. Yes my detector goes everywhere I do..Anyway, I went to a local park got out and said. "Ok I am doing what Johnymc would do, go off the beaten path." So into the woods I went. I was doing pretty well finding stuff when I got to an area that looked to be disturbed recently, come to find out Johnymc and Markgpa where there the night before...

So I got a real nice 37 Merc.
A sterling ring
A police badge pewter or something, (any idea's on age and what it is let me know)
A good luck token with an Indian (JOIE CHITWOODS WORLD CHAMPIONS DARE DEVILS)
A shell token ??
Some wheat's
Keys (that was probably a bad day)
A pin (US NAVEL RESERVE HONERABLE DISCHARGE) sorry blurry
Some bullets, whatzits, and CLAD

Are you talking thick deep tangled woods, briers, brambles and fallen trees kind of woods or just MD in the grass around some trees? PA is a big place with lots of BIG parks and some deep dark woods, as I recall from my youth. I am new at MD and haven't hit any parks yet, primarily the beach. Around here the parks are open and grassed without any "woods". A few trees maybe, but nothing I would call woods. I'm just trying to get my head around where to hunt and why. Thanks for any clarification or advice, Ralph
