Silver, and a pistol

Ha, Got Ya. It's only a cap pistol.....

After a long absence from being able to do some digging, I finally got out to an 1850's home site here in upstate New York.

Dug up only one wheatie, a 1925. Also a 1961 & two 1964 memorials.

Coolest find was the 1960's cap pistol, intact and after cleaning up, the cartridge wheel swings out, and the trigger assembly still works!

The silver finds are a small old ring marked 'sterling', and a 1943 U.S. quarter.

Other items in photos: Gold plated ball point pen, a Model-T tire valve cover, and a dog tag.

Glad to be back in the swing of things again.

I found the EXACT same silver ring about to months ago!! I did research the ring a bit. I forgot the name of the company but I believe it was made between 1920 & the late 50’s. The company is know for costume jewelry and one of its largest customers was Disney. Oh yeah, That 1925 wheat is pristine !!Congrats on the finds!

Well that's pretty cool! I would lean more towards the 1950's, Made by "Romega Inc. in Rome, Georgia USA. Like you, not much information can be found on the company.
And the 1925 wheatie is the cleanest I've encountered, BUT, it actually came out of the edge of a stone driveway, and it is slightly bent, with Abe looking directly at it!

Nope, no other writing or even manufacturers marks on it that I could find, and I looked everywhere! I did locate a couple during research, and it appears that originally the metal had been nickel plated. Coming out of the ground there was no sign of any plating anywhere.
