Hi all! If I can get one good find out of each hunt I'm a happy camper! The first is a local cemetary which has a large strip of grass(first pic) where I am standing to take the shot. This is where I found the Dick Tracy cap gun about 3 inches under the surface. The guts are still intact and working. From the info I can gather it's from the 40's. The ring is of a rose design in diamond cut format and found it in the grass at a local lake beach. I have pic's but on my I phone in my Digmate app(fantastic app if you have an I phone). Yesterday I swung by the local H.S. and took notice of the 2 islands of grass that most of the students cross over after parking there cars. Within 5 minutes I got the knock your ears out hit on the St.Christopher pendant! What an exciting hobby! Thanks for looking and HH

Great finds, not sure if that's a Dick Tracy promoted gun.
(Not trying to burst your bubble, still a way cool 40's find.)

I wonder why it has Dick on the gun?

Love that St. Christopher pendant and chain.:occasion14:

It is a 1950's Hubley :dick" cap gun! Everyone is selling it as a Dick Tracy cap gun though! Who knows if someone said it and everyone followed and continued it on as that? From the information i'v seen it is what detectahead claims.... I hope it is, thats cool as hell!!! Nice find either way though bro! Any find that makes you search and search on the internet, is cool in my book!!!!!!!!! Means it uncommon and unique! Hope I can find something like that!
