I have had my eye on this beautiful 1884 homestead for some time now. In its prime the property was used as a dairy farm and viewing home for funerals. After a few hrs I could tell someone has hit this site before but as we all know its never hunted out. I came back after two days of hard rain and found a 1863 fatty IHP, 1952 rosie, 6 wheats ( earliest 1910 ), handful of lead bullets, buckle, silver ring, 14kt gold ear ring ( weighs 3.5 g.), one civilian button and two military buttons. If anyone can help identify the buttons that would be great. I don't have my Alberts book with me.

I figured id add the following days finds as well. A few of us from my club hit a property on Kent island which dates back to the 1600s. Some good stuff has been pulled from this location in the past. It was a great day for me, I found a bucket list coin. I spent about 4 hrs and found a old axe head, lead bullets, 1942 wheat, 1910 wheat, no date buff, My First 1764 Spanish 1 reale. I did the silver dance followed up with a cart wheel lol. thanks for looking GL&HH

Congrats on the real and other nice finds

Thanks Trapperart and Doc Arey. Anyone have ideas on the two military buttons?

Nice!! I'll bet that place is hiding a whole lot more just waiting to be found

Spanish silver is still on my bucket list.
Congrats on some sweet recoveries.

Thank you High&dry and Against the wind. I'm trying to make time to get back out there. Youll find it Against the wind !!

Let's see the ax head. They can be dated.

Cool house to hunt! You found some nice relics and coins. IMHO it would be worth multiple trips back hitting from different angles and machine settings!

No problem Smokey. After cleaning the iron targets it looks like two. I found one over in that corn field near where we spoke. Also forgot to show this ornate door pull. Half my pics wouldn't upload, ill try to get more.

Congrats on some Sweet finds and your first Spanish silver!!
Maryland rocks!!

That's a beautiful house! Any chance it could be renovated?? :icon_scratch:

The house has been vacant for two years according to the Homeowner. Between the kids and scrappers they have destroyed this property. He said they have had 8 people charged for destruction of property/ trespassing. The house can be renovated but there is a lot of risk in this one. This house priced for 1.1 million and now under 300 k. It still has all the original staircases, 8 fireplaces, original wide plank hard wood floors, original doors and moldings. Every wall has numerous holes from people scrapping copper and looking for goods. The exterior would take a full makeover has/needs slate roof, copper gutters, new wood sash windows, siding, wrap around porch repairs, and foundation repairs.
