Silver and Relics

Got to detect a while today with my brother and had a decent day. Found a nice old padlock with key. Wilson Bohannan railroad padlock circa 1878. A Ford model A valve stem cover,an old hoe head, a Chinese coin, 2 Mercs 1939, 1943s. clad and a lucky play money coin with Roosevelt on the front. HH RJ

What I liked about it is the owner said 15 or 20 people has already hunted it and all you'll probably find is railroad spikes, because they use to burn old railroad ties in the yard. The yard was trashy but did ok.

Trashy sites have paid off for me in the past, they are just a lot more work. Plan to go to one tomorrow. It's an old site so even junk targets are interesting to dig.

Just opened the lock after a few shots of wd40. Started to leave the old hoe outside, didn't want to upset the wife.

Wow looks like a great day to me RJ ! a lock that works some silver and old key the stem cover is pretty cool and those chinese coins get around i have one of those also congrats on the finds
