These are the some of the keepers from the last month of the year. I hunted Christmas day of course, and was given some awesome presents. The silver clog clasp hallmarked, PS, Philip Syng. I believe this to be one of the three silversmiths in the Syng family that resided in Pennsylvania. There are no examples of this hallmark, so I'm leaning towards the youngest that had died without any known hallmark. A silver clog clasp was on my wish list for a long time, I was elated when this baby came home. On the same day I pulled a 1803 Draped Bust large cent, and a very large gemmed silver cufflink. I just about fell over when that one popped out. Its silver backed and not a diamond but a cut stone, quartz or zircon, 18th to 19th century. Very happy with my gifts. A brooach bearing the steam ship, Republic, a silver ring with inlaid turquoise with an Ant hallmark, another early masonic cuff button, and the 1731 to 1735 cut Seville 1 reale came a few days after. My first old 25 key, a gold earring, silver oval cuff, blue glass cuff, and a King George the II counter marked coin. My second counter marked coin this year. Its been a great year with two gold coins and handfuls of other great keepers. Happy hunting all. Art
