It was a warm day in San Francisco today, it was a little over 80 degrees but it felt like 90.
I always like finding my first silver coin within the first hour of my hunt, today I dug down 6 inches for a 1961 rosie. I was only into my hunt for about 20 minutes when I scored the 61 rosie.
Working my way down the median strip, sweating in the hot weather I got a good coin signal about 5 inches deep. To my surprise out pops a 1948 quarter! While putting the dirt back into the hole I notice a shiny silver disc in the dirt pile! It was a 1942 merc!
Two silver coins in the same hole! This does not happen very often. So I was one happy camper! This median is long, it takes about 2 hours to cover one block section. You have to work it slow, it is real easy to miss a good target....
