Got my first silver coin today plus a nickel and pocket knife all within 3ft or so. Check it out. 1920 quarter and 1926 nickel.

that's really nice. It's not real common to dig a SLQ that the date is not worn off, or a full date buffalo either. congrats, both are great finds!

That SLQ is a Silver Coin alright and it has a readable date too! Love the Buffalo nickel as well! :icon_thumright:

Two of the hardest American coins to get a date from and both of yours are readable! What are the chances?

That's a heck of a first silver!

Thanks, the place i found this was abandoned shortly after these dates so these coins would have been only a few yrs old when they were lost.

Beauts! Two readable dates! My first silver was just a rosie... still excited whenever I find one though.

Very Nice!!! Great Shape!!! Congrats!!!

As others have said, finding the SLQ (IMHO one of the two most beautiful US coins) with an intact date is a real coup! They don't come out of the ground any nicer than that. Congrats!

Nice quarter! My first silver quarter was a 1928 SLQ I dug a month or two ago. It's a great feeling to dig one.

sweeeeet! congrats!!

That SLQ is an example of one of the early ones, To find one with a date showing before 1925 is a real good find.

Holy crap. That’s your first silver coin? Well done!

Couple of beautiful saves. Congrats

SpareSomeChange, some great finds there. The 1920 SLQ and the 1923 Buff Nickel. Go back and hit that again: may be more!

Tuberal said it all,, go back and hammer that spot!!
Congratulations

Nice looking Standing Lib Quarter.

Wow! that is a nice one! Ive found 3 total, 1 with a date and never that nice. Great Score!
