Silver Coins #56-62 For The Year, 1933 Worlds Fair Pocketknife, & Other Odds & Ends
I started a new job recently and with the new hours and other commitments, I haven't been able to get out and detect any since May. I finally got out today and was able to spend most all day out swinging the coil. Made a few good finds, and a lot of the usual trash. I started out at the abandoned campground I've been searching off and on all year, and then ended up at a local park after I got tired of trudging through the brush at the campground. Ended up with 7 silver coins for the day, 2 quarters 1944 & 1954, and 5 dimes, 1917-S, 1936, 1940-D, 1944, and 1945. Also $1.74 in clad and zincolns, and 25 Wheaties. The other keepers for the day was a pocketknife that says "Chicago 1933" on one side and "A Century Of Progress" on the other side, a toy aluminum pair of pliers, a shell casing from what I think is from a Peters .32 short rimfire bullet, a 12 ga. shell and a .45 bullet. Also got 2 tokens, one is just a run of the mill "Good For Amusement Only" token, and the other is what I think is a telephone token that says "Yale" and "Goetz" on it. And lastly is a bottle cap that says "The American Medicinal Spirits Company" on it, and a surface bottle find from Barq's root beer, a skate key and a bottle opener. Hope everybody was able to get out and do a little swinging today!!
