Got back out today and braved the wind chill. All my finds were from
the last 15 mins of a 3 hr hunt. First was a '26 wheat, then the '64 Rosie, some lead
round shot (2-36 & 1-32 cal.) , and a nugget of Placer copper. (I believe)
Th nugget was sounding in the copper range and when scraped with a blade
it looks like shiny gold. I'm guessing its copper 'cause it has bits of green corrosion
on it. :dontknow:

Great stuff!!

You got some history there with that "float" copper and that lead shot

That piece of copper most-likely started up near MI and was carried down south
(to this area) about 10,000 years ago. . . so it's pretty old by "mortal" standards.

Oh, and the silver is good too

Glad you made it out and scored!!!! :icon_pirat:

Nice Job on the shiny !!
I got out today but only had 3 wheats and a lot of trash to show for it.

Sweet! Shinies rule!

Nice finds. I've picked up nuggets like that. I never know what they are or the alloy.

Very cool finds.....

Congrats on furthering your lead on me! Sweet finds dad!
