Silver & Cross Penny

I went to an elementary school yard last night for a little practice with the Deus. Nothing special, just try to find some clad, and NOT find some trash. The first hour was uneventful, then I got a really nice high tone, too nice to pass up, so I dug it... out comes a quarter, but it doesn't look like the other quarters... I licked the dirt off, and BINGO... 1944. That is silver #12 for the year.

I was also blessed with this "Penny from Heaven"... it has an "H" mint mark... Come people, play along...

And the battle rages on. You're keeping the pressure on me with ANOTHER silver coin. I'm afraid once you become joined at the hip with that Deus I might be in some trouble. Heck, I had to get out this morning and find a silver Washington quarter too just to keep my slight lead.

He has the advantage of youth on his side. I cannot handle the heat of summer so for me time is quickly running out till it cools off this fall. I'm just hoping I'm not too far behind by then to catch up. He's getting better and better with his Deus.

"...the battle rages on..." Huh? HELLO... you are spanking me. I have not been treated like this since I was alter boy! You and that "Smittyman" just keep me around for use as a punching bag and foot stool.

Thanks for the props Jay. I was almost tied up with you, but lately you have really pulled out into the lead. Congrats on that, you've really gotten some nice coins lately. found a cross penny yesterday, but that is not surprising where i live, we have the Christian Motorcycle Association head quarters right up the road from us, they hand out a lot of them. it was the highlight of the hunt of mostly clad, would have loved to find a silver like yours to go with mine.

Beez is just playing possum... he says that he is old and can't take the heat, but you get within a couple of coins of leading the "Great NC Silver Champions Challenge Series" (aka: GNCSCCS) and he comes right back to life... BANG! You gotta watch him really close.
