Saturday Mr. Stuff (Dave) made the drive from Columbus to my neck of the woods again to do some hunting. We went door knocking and had a pretty good day. :laughing7:

One place was having a garage sale, and Dave asked them "how much for the coins in your yard?"....the owner was confused...lol. :laughing9: We explained we wanted to metal detect there and they gave us the green light. I got one lone rosie, and some clad.

Next house we went to, the owner said we could not do his yard but we were welcome to do his xtra large curb strip, man what a tease that was! :tongue3: The strip was loaded with wheats, got a silver quarter and Dave got a silver ring. I can only imagine how good his yard was!

We did an empty lot and that is where I got 2 of my indians and my barber dime.

Then we hit an old farm and I found my 3rd indian, mercury dime to complete my dime trifecta! :hello2:
This is the 5th silver dime trifecta I have got this year. I also found the neato masonic temple medallion here.

After today I am at 95 silvers, and 55 indians for the year.

Another great day hunting with a good friend!

I'm curious--the the Masonic Temple still there? It looks like one of those buildings they like to tear down to build a glass and stainless steel monster. Hope it is still there--looks massive.

I did a search--yep, the Masonic Temple is still there!!!!! :hello2:

:icon_thumleft: Thats a great bunch of digs. Congrats!!!

Greetings G4E,

Knocking on doors is money in the pocket. I am curious though when you approach these home owners are their lawns
well manicured and nice. You have probally been asked this Q before If so I missed it.
Thanks in advance.

no... when it is hot and dry out, I never knock on doors on nicely manicured lawns. I only go to older places where people look like they don't really care.
