✅ SOLVED Silver Find

Found this silver object yesterday at an antebellum home built circa 1851. The object was found in two parts within approximately one inch of each other, depth approximately 4 inches. The back is identical to the front, with no identifying marks. Composition of metal is silver. Note what appears to be a rusted iron clasp at the end of each object.

scissors handles

I agree, small sewing scissor handles. most that look like that were made of sterling silver. The rust is whats left of the business end of the carbon steel scissors.
