My wife works in a small bank. I have always told her to be on the lookout for any silver. Once in a great while, someone will cash in a silver coin or two. Last week, I hit the jackpot. Someone cashed in 220 silver halves. She only had enough money to buy 84 of them. She had enough sense to get the oldest, which were mostly Standing Liberty's. I am going to keep one ten dollar roll and I am going to sell the rest. Here is what I am going to sell. 9 Franklins, 1 silver Kennedy, and 53 Standing Liberty's . Only a few of the halves are worn and most are in really nice shape. I am no coin grader, but my redbook shows most to be worth 7 to 12 dollars apiece. I have checked with several coin dealers and they have not even looked at the coins and have offered me melt value, minus 20% for their profit. If anyone is interested, I am going to sell these 63 silver halves for 3.25 apiece, which is less than melt value and the majority of these coins are worth much more than that. Give me an email if interested. R.L. Johnson
