Hey guys I dug this yesterday at a property that has been in the family since 1870’s. I know my great great uncle had a horse team will full dressings. Could this be part? FE05F9EF-5E13-4D56-87C9-B968A0B2FF89.webp
 

Looks like a leather strap adornment. You might be correct. Any makers mark or stamp on the back? Maybe upload a couple more pics. Congrats

They're used on a lot of different leather objects from hat bands to belts & bridals. Google up Tandy leather (easiest & quickest) and you'll see some examples in their catalog. You mentioned your uncle had a working team I think. Most folks I've had contact with don't put show tack on except for shows so I think it'd be chromed. Test it to be sure.

It is actually plated bronze or brass upon closer inspection..and I do believe it’s chrome. Thank you. Would be circa 19 teens to 20’s by his age. So yeah cool find
