Granted this is only for Vegas, and only roughly three months' worth, but it's still a disturbing trend. Who'd've thought silver's spike in value would lead to this current drought.
- In 2006 I found 921 silver coins, an average of 2.52 coins per day.
- In 2007 I found 481 silver coins, averaging 1.32 coins per day
- 2008, thru today (March 26th) I've found 67 silver coins, a 0.78 daily average.
By today, the 86th day of the year, I should have 217 silver coins (by 2006 averages) or 113 silver coins (by 2007 averages). So compared to '06 I'm down almost 70% and versus last year I'm down 41%. It's important to note that my outlets for searching haven't really diminished, nor has the amount I've searched. It'll be interesting to see if this average stays consistant this year. If so, I'll end up at around 285 silver coins.
