Silver Knife Handle

Here's some pictures of this afternoons hunt. Hunted a foot path in a very ancient area. First signal a pound coin, always welcome ($1.46). Best find this solid silver knife handle, Can't see any marks on it, but it is very crudded up. No idea of the age, any ideas ?. Robert.

I'm guessing the handle would be late 19th or early 20th century. Nice chunk of silver.

Beautiful you have it there! Thats a thick piece of knife handle. Never got a solid one like this, most are heavily plated.
