Most likely plated,but but still a cool find! Every time Ive ever found silverware I get a little excited, then I find that its plated. Keep on keepin on!!

Nice work there RR, and some suggestions for you, if you post that over on the "what is it" forum and use pics that show the whole knife they may be able to help, sometimes the pattern will help narrow it down, unless it was one of the popular ones that was made for 100 years. HH!
