Found this solid silver medal (diam. 2,5 cm)on a field near to a US Army Airfield in Germany. Do you have any ideas about its age and purpose?

Could be an American Boy Scout award.

A Patrol is a group or unit of Boy Scouts.

Very interesting find! It almost looks like a converted coin, the wreath and bow look very similar to the wreath found on an American Large Cent Penny. I have no idea what the Best Patrol refers to. HH, Mike
