My wife dug this item thinking it was a quarter signal. She told me that a she dug a rock. Why she put it in her pocket, as she explains it. "It was shiny".

Nonetheless, It doesn't look like any lead that I have seen. It doesn't appear to be part of equipment that broke. It does appear to be a blob formed randomly making me believe it must have been melted. I did the sliver acid test and it passes. It weighs about 32 grams. I still find it hard to believe it is silver.

Anyone that wants to comment on this, please do.

Where did she find it? Close to a road or something?

WilliamH, Found in a vacant lot with lots of trash. Could have been a demolished building or fire. I can clearly see gravel for either road or parking lot beneath the surface.

Possibly didn't know it was there when it was demolished. Great find
