Hi everyone. I have'nt been out to detect in 6 or 7 weeks so this morning I decided to head back to the park that gave up around 30 pieces of silver in the last few months.
I got lucky since it looked like they mowed the grass yesterday. I managed a 1948 quarter at approx 6-7 inches and a shallow 1964 rosie. Also two wheats 44 and 45. I found a piece of something that' says Uncle Henry on it and a sad find of a memorial to someone killed by terrorists in Israel. There's still alot of digging left to do at this park. I've only been digging it on high disc to pull out the coins so far. Little by little I'll start backing down the disc to see what else lies buried there. I must say it sure felt good to get multiple silver on my first outing after my mini hiatus. Good luck to all.

WTG on the silver finds. Quarters are not easy to come by in parks...Especially here! Congrats

The Uncle Henry item is the tang guard that separates the blade from the handle from an Uncle Henry brand hunting knife.

Neat Finds!

Now don't you just wonder how that memorial piece got there? ??? Great research...

Congrats on all those finds!! Welcome back! Nana :)

Some nice and unusual finds. Congrats on the silver. Too bad you didn't find anymore of that Uncle Henry knife, you could have sent it back for a new one. I don't know about now, but they used to be garanteed for life.

Congrats Mike! You're working it and the place is producing. Keep us posted buddy :)

I'm working on it now. I too agree that it has sentimental value to the family and would love to return it.

Good finds! Why the hiatus?
Halfdime I've been going through some issues with our home. Unfortunately, we're going to have to foreclose on our home of 14 yrs. I had lost the desire to do much of anything, but now I realize it could always be worse. My best friend lost his wife to lung cancer in March at the age of 42. I have my wife and kids and that's all I need. We'll just have to start over. Life has to be enjoyed, and for me and all of us here dirtfishing is our thing. Good luck out there.
