I love finding Bridle Rosettes are each one I find seems to be unique. This one was found on a Colonial property that goes back to ca. 1720. I don't believe it's Colonial but am looking to narrow down a date or manufacturer. It seems to be a silvered or silver plated brass with the middle piece being an insert during production. The back does not seem to be lead or lead-alloy filled.

It was fragmented when recovered and I was able to recover most of it. I'll be handing it over with my other finds to the property owner and he may wish to have it restored. Please post or PM the names of folks that do restorations on historic artifacts like buttons, belt plates, etc.

Thanks. Pretty sure it's a bridle rosette though it's a bit different that the few lead or lead-alloy filled ones I have found before.
