My hunting buddy and me went to a couple of places we have hit before and found some cool items in the past. At the first place it was slow go for most of the time with only a tax token and plenty of junk. Then I got a decent tone on the nox that sounded like a penny so I got a little worked up because my buddy found an 1895 Indian there the last time we went. I popped it out and it was a little better than a penny! It was a WW1 era (I think) US Rosette! My first rosette so I will take any info you guys might know about this one. Then we left there and headed to the 2nd spot. Again it was slow with only a 1948 wheatie to show for me. My buddy however popped out this silver pocket watch!! This place was lived at by a local folk hero named Will Purvis on the late !800's. You can google his story and check him out. He was tried and sentenced to hang for murder but the knot slipped and he hit the ground. A second attempt was stopped by the crowd because the first time failed. The rest you can check out if you want too. If we have any watch collectors please tell me what you can about this one. I didn't try to clean the rosette. I didn't want to ruin it. Any tips would be helpful.
