I have not dug a silver quarter since August, and none since buying a Nox. Plenty of silver dimes, War Nics, Walkers, LCs, KGs, but no silver quarters.

Yesterday I decided to hit a matted down tall grass area in the park after getting skunked In the woods. Found a wheat then finally a 29-30 VDI about 5” deep, small and tight signal.

Yeah, slump busted. Then about 5’ away another identical signal,

Found one interesting piece near a cellar hole, seems Art Deco, not sure what it is.

I went 28 straight wheats before these quarters, my second longest wheat streak (32 highest), now at 15-54 silver coins to wheats FTY. The dirt gods like to keep me around a 1:4 ratio...

Forget to add a couple more goodies found.

First time I’ve found cash while md’ing. Right there on the park path.

While at a permission on Saturday, where I found the token spill, a neighbor came over and asked if I wanted to do his yard, postage stamp city yard. He asked if I would do the same 50/50 split and as I was swinging I said sure as long as I get to keep any old coins and relics he is welcome to any jewelry that pops out. Before I had a chance to finish my sentence I got a great 21/21 signal, not deep.

He was flabbergasted at the immediate results and potential treasure in his yard. I handed him his first piece of jewelry, 925 silver and he went in and woke the rest of his family up to clear the yard of debris. Found nothing else, but fun to share the excitement .

Good luck out there!

Sweet! Got one the other day that looked like it just came out of the mint!:icon_thumright:

Nice finds! I haven't had a two silver quarter day in quite a while myself.

Congrats on the quarters Thad. The enameled Art Deco pin is cool too.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Ya buddy, way to go on double silver quarters! Interesting to hear about your wheat/silver ratio. I’m almost always at around 6:1 over the long haul. Not sure why it always seems to land there for me!

Nice job on the 2 silvers and the relics. Love those Standing Liberty's.

Nice digs Thad. Those SLQ's are hard to find. Congrats!

Nice silver! Congrats! :icon_thumleft: SLQ is still on my bucket list.

one thing.webp Ahhh, one more thing if I may....

Why is that nice drawer pull not in the keeper handful? If it is not a keeper, I will keep it for you :laughing7:

Found that drawer pull on a hillside above a cellar hole, nothing else around. Super sturdy and ornate, would love to have seen the piece of furniture if came off.

The ratio thing helps me keep spirits up when on a silver slump. Digging 28 straight wheats for me will eventually lead to a bunch of silvers, at least that is what I tell myself...

Thx John! Yeah, I’ve only found 3 SLQs and all are dateless. I’ve been following your YouTube channel Finders-Keepers. That is a great site for Equinox users to watch and get some tips on pulling silvers from parks, looks like you are going to make another run at 200 silvers this year. I’ve got some smaller parks in Allegheny County we should get the gang together to meet up at this summer.

Awesome job of coins and relics!:occasion14:

nice! you did well

Thanks man. For some reason the shiny keeps popping out of the ground pretty regularly. I think a group hunt with the old clan is well overdue!

Nice finds,

Good karma will always come back to you. Last summer myself and wife in the dark recovered a diamond ring in the woods for a not so well off family. It felt great to do something good for someone. I was getting my sons title done and the women doing it commented on my wife's wedding ring. She went on to tell the women I detect and found two seperate rings and had one made for her.

1920's era 18kt white gold hand engraved with 3/4 carat diamond. Beautiful setting I found then a few years later I found a man's diamond ring and had the stone taken out of it and placed into the setting for my wife.

Make a long story longer. She said her daughter in law lost a ring raking leaves. I said we'll stop and give a look for it. I handed the ctx to my wife and literally last hole of the night up against a tree wrapped in a root with a foot of wet mucky leaves this big diamond ring was just sitting there I was shocked.

I even told my wife hey I'm not digging this crackle of a signal. It was like a 12/08. Lady was in full tears when we brought it into the house. Not the first time I've recovered something for someone. Nice to give back when you can.

Jer

Great finds I just got the box it's a deep machine I've been in a silver slump for a while hope this 800 changes things.. Excellent finds on your hunt.

Thx Tommy. If you’ve got some good old parks around I’m sure you will pull some more silvers. The Nox definitely has a learning curve, but is a great tool once you understand what it is telling you. (Don’t crank the sensitivity too high...) Good luck!
