Still pounding the pounded park and still squeaking out finds. Last night I found a silver ring and a saloon token!! It’s the first saloon token I’ve dug. I was hoping it was from a one-time local establishment but it’s attributed to Washington state circa 1904.

You have done very well at that park, congrats! :occasion14:

Really nice finds- that ring is interesting and that 1891 Indian is in amazing condition!

Some history:C.C. Cushen, born and raised in Maryland, came to Everett, Washington, around the turn of the century. During the short time he lived there he operated three saloons, the Rialto in 1901-03, the Grand in 1904, and the Lumberman in 1905. He also built a home at 2610 Oaks Ave. About 1905 he relocated his family to Coupeville, Washington, where he operated a hotel. One of his sons became a well-known auto dealer in Coupeville. Cushen is buried with his wife and family in Sunnyside Cemetery overlooking Ebey’s Prairie on Whidbey Island.

Want to see something crazy? Here’s a token I found in Washington last winter.

Same guy, same establishment, different era of tokens. What are the odds? I don’t believe his operation was that gigantic.

Well done on some excellent finds!

Nice finds Squirrel. I like that token.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!!
