I had some time before work on Saturday morning and I had planned to hunt a small park where a couple of weeks ago I dug three silver coins. When I got there the park had chains across the entrance and a sign stating that the park was closed until further notice. With that, I went to a nearby sports field that has a baseball diamond and a soccer field and was still open so I hit the soccer field. Finds were OK....21 coins worth $4.08 and some odd ball items including the Japanese 50 yen coin. I have no idea of the date but my reference book says that the variety I have was first minted in 1967.
