I was expecting a dry spell after all the fun I had over the last week/three day weekend (finding the nice silver bracelet, silver military medal, gold earring and all the cool tokens and relics) - but I was stunned to dig up ANOTHER RING on Tuesday! Been going back over some of the areas I hunted with the old Radio Shack and tried the new detector - got a good signal in the Zinc area and out pops a nice silver band, marked "925". Not much - but it made my day. Silver is always fun to find. In the half hour I had time to hunt before work, and I got lucky. Started the work week off well!
Now I'm just thinking back to a couple months ago when I first started. Digging up some pop tabs and getting excited when I found my first quarter. LOL! Then a couple weeks after that when I dug my first silver coin (1953 Roosevelt dime). A week after that, my first gold ring - followed by a string of other rings and relics over the next month. I am loving this hobby!
Okay - enough of my blather over a simple silver ring here. I'll post the photos and get back to reading some of the REAL FINDS on this forum! LOL
Good luck everyone!
