I went out for a few hours to a couple local parks with Ralph and found a silver ring and more.
The first park we hunted produced some clad and a deep dig near an old tree to what we both thought was going to be a cache box. It had the feel of a metal and wood box down about 8 inches and under a root from the old tree. We were having a difficult time digging it out and I decided to head back to the car for a bigger shovel, when I returned Ralph had gotten it out and it was just a large piece of metal which fooled us both.
After the frustrating dig we decided to hit another local park, one of my first targets turned up a silver ring with a budha on it, it does not look very old nut it is silver and interesting.
Along with the ring I found what looks like a piece of a boy scout jewelry but I am not sure.
The total clad count was $2.95 including 2 Wheaties 1948-D & 1949 and 1942 War Nickel.
