Found this ring today, cleaning out the flower bed by our porch. Pulled the rake back and there it was. I work in this garden every year and we find lots of junk in our yard but this is the first jewelry. Stamped "980" and "TAXCO MEXICO" no other marks though. It's not magnetic. Seems weighty. The discolored spot (might see in the pic) is where the ends are joined you can see the seam on the inside. Haven't really cleaned it just rubbed the dirt off.

ATW is correct...you have a silver ring. The discoloration may have been a repair or a solder line. Always a joy to have work reward you with a surprise!
