The letter look kind of Greek or Roman around the outside to me. Did you paint the one side gold?

Really? It was found nearby other 1600s Spanish coins so I assumed was still Spanish.

The coin was wet from cleaning.

For context was found "near" Spanish cobs like this. But the dates on these coins found in the vicinity
Would appreciate any guidance on identification.

go from every century between 1500s to 1900s.

The closest I got to identifying was this

I have absolutely no idea, but after looking around for a bit it looks real similar to this: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces122739.html
