This morning was more like November than April, cold and foggy. I went back to where I found the Romano Celtic brooch on Monday. Finds were few and small. The best by far a silver brooch, of I would guess a Spit Fire. It looks very home made, and almost certainly dates to WW2. Other finds were a small leather decoration and chape. Really pleased with the Spit Fire. Robert.

Thanks Argentium, will post some after cleaning, off detecting in a bit. Robert.

Maybe trench art or prisoner of war piece. My GDad was given a brass version from a POW.

too cool ! RAF trench art .... shows the carvers fondness for Spitfires , :occasion14:

Trench art was my first thought too. Air force members made some really cool stuff. Great find Rob!

Looks like the other trinket is ummm, happy to see you. :laughing7:
