That word OVERLAY on the spoon makes me think you have a silver plated spoon. Lots of rings marked that are bogus. Bet that had you going for a bit.

I'm thinking the same on the spoon, and yes that ring when I seen it in the plug had my heart pounding haven't found a real one yet. After I cleaned it you can see its layered, but still excited have to dig it all....

If a 10K alloy is not properly mixed, the metal may have large concentrations of copper in some places. I would test it to be sure. Awesome finds!
