Does anyone know off hand what the markings on this spoon mean? It looks & feels like silver but is not marked or at least not a mark I'm familiar with or that I recognize. Found it mixed in with a 6 place set of Vernon silver plated flatware I got for $2 in a tarnish proof wood box. There is a DM inside of 2 small circles that touch each other. Then next to that there is a 3 with a symbol next to it that I can't make out or don't recognize. Any help would be appreciated as I am no silver or silver plate mark expert, not even close.

congrats. so what does the DM stand for???

It's most likely the makers mark, most likely initials for a name or pair of last names. Or possibly the assay office stamp? If that's the case the D could stand for Brno Hungary? Doesn't really matter to me tho as the spoon isn't in that great of condition & it is plain Jane too so I'll put it in the scrap pile for now. Waiting for silver to go back to $40+ an oz.. $50 would be nice!
