Hey all,
Took the day off work because it's a slower week and I wanted to log some hours with the CTX. Met up with a friend in the area who also has a CTX and got some helpful pointers from him. I met him at the old honey hole where I pulled 10 silvers in January. He and my brother continued to do well there last month but I'd taken four-straight silver skunks there.
Right away I hit an area I've worked to death with the DFX. Once again the CTX worked its magic and sniffed out two wheats and two KGVI Canadian pennies where the DFX couldn't.
Hunted for quite some time and things were quiet again. I'd probably been there for 5 hours (this place is massive) when I got a 12-41 hit at around 3 inches. Figuring it was another copper penny I went for it. I was digging all high tones.
I was surprised (and slightly sad) to find the better half of a Merc. As my brother joked "Could be a 16-D for all we know."

I was happy to escape with a single silver today but was bummed it was chopped. I hit the immediate area hard and got a little 12-39 tone 2 feet away. Probably took me 2 minutes to just pinpoint this little sliver. Can't believe I found the missing piece!

We can't guarantee these are the same coin so I'm counting this as two silvers (only kidding [emoji6]).
I managed a couple more wheats before calling it a day after my longest hunt ever, 7 hours!
Here are the totals:

Old coins are:
-Merc (36)
-Wheats (42D, 58D x2, Dateless x2)
-KGVI Pennies (47, 51)
Another fun day with the new toy. Hoping to take my consecutive silver hunt streak to 6 on Saturday morning at a couple permissions.
Good luck out there and happy hunting!
