Long Live the next Streak!
It had to happen specially on these 'bad lands'. We tried 2 big fields today but they were completely empty of any signs at all. Just goes to show how easy we make it look sometimes because for every 1 good area in a field there are 100 with nothing in it. So, they are crossed off the list.
We only did 3 hours today & finished in the field we were on yesterday, only to find that we had gridded the best area, & there was very little about.
Cru'Dad got saved by the bell on the way back to the car! (OTWBTTC)

Crotal Bell
Livery Button (One I need)
1806 Halfpenny
Circa 1700 Buckle
Medieval Belt Mount
Bits...

You'll be back onto the silver and another run before you know it, probably your next hunt.

We would need a lot of luck because we are scratching our heads on which long-shot field we should try next. This time of year is more about crossing off fields that were never on the target list because they have no intel. We call this Blind Hunting.

Just realised this is my 30,000th post.:occasion14:

Still a nice relic hunt! I bet tomorrow you will find a piece or two of silver! :icon_thumright:

Congrats on the 30000 posts! I go out on a limb and say there is one more Hammered out there to find this year.

Congrats on some nice finds and 30000 posts

Nice bell and bits. Is that a stud chape bottom pic center? Great livery button with lots of gilt.

Nope a unmarked padlock cover.
Yeap, it's nice to get a Livery you need & most of its silvering.

Roughly about 3500, so about 1 in 10.

And how many of those 30,000 post were helping others out?
Congrats on 30,000 post and for being such a valuable asset to T-net!

Probably close to 1 in 6 (ish).
More so in the early days when I spent most days in the 'What Is It' Forum. Now I only go there via request (Normally a PM) or check through the answers every 10 days or so.
I still believe we have the best free resource on the internet for IDing finds accurately.

TreasureNet is not only a resource for ID's, but also for learning. I've learned a tremendous amount from you and a few others on here. Now if I could only retain it;)

Yes, it's annoying when your knowledge/memory fails you, but for some reason, these things stick better than most peoples names.

Man I wish I could come dig for a few weeks over there
The age of some of your items is crazy
You'll be hot on that silver in no time
