silver thistle button

From the land of the Bluenose.....believe and can stand to be corrected that this silver button was off a military blazer as it was dug years ago at a place called Devil's Hill Battery where many military relics where unearthed. Is a one piece item with a hook on back. Tough spot to dig however and about due to go back. Any info on the item would be appreciated and have a great day.
