Hunted in a private home yard in a very small town that was founded in 1904 - AND found 4-quarters, 5-dimes & 8-cents one which was a 1949 "wheat cent" - BUT my very first target, with the SIMPLEX+, was a SILVER 1945 Mecury dime which was buried about 8 inches next to a huge "Live Oak" tree among several large & small roots and took me a few minutes to recover it (not being able to "plug the hole" and of course scratched it with the screwdrive I was using - So I now call it "scar-face" but the reverse is very nice - I guess I should be glad it wasn't a key date. After 49 years of detecting, you think I would learn. My best find of the day, however was a FORD THIRTY YEARS 1903-1933 / V8 / OF PROGRESS token issued at the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago. The token is made of brass and measures 34mm in diameter, and is called a "dollar size" token.
Thanks for looking - GOOD LUCK & HH to ALL..........BILL
