SILVER TRADE BROOCH w/ unknown maker's mark!! --UPDATED--
Yesterday I went out to an old fur trading post with JR and Ryan, and I managed to find this old silver brooch. It is by far the oldest item I have ever found and I was truly stunned to see it come out of the dirt. I don't know who the maker is but I am sure one of u can tell me based on the "XI" located at the bottom. The design seems to be cut out instead of stamped because in some areas u can see slight over cutting on the edges. I also do not know really how old it is. Any help on identifying the makers mark and the age of this item would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
