Got my weekly tuesday box of halves today which is always nice because it gives me something to look forward to on tuesdays. Anyways, the box was ok, i found... (8) 40%ers, (1) 1996 S proof non-silver, (1) 2002 not intended for circulation coin, (1) 1993 gold plated half, and (1) 1973 half dollar with a hole for a necklace in it. Anyone know the value of the 1996 proof? I think its worth about 5-6 bucks in that condition. Thanks for looking! It was fun going through and finding silver!

TOTALS:

40%ers
- (3) 1967
- (3) 1968
- (2) 1969

90%ers
- NONE

Other
- 2002 not intended for circulation
- 1993 gold plated?
- 1973 necklace holed half dollar

All these storie's about coin roll hunting has got me thinkin' twice....Nice Job CC...What's the story behind the 2002 Half...never heard about it!!

Thanks guys! GC i hope you get into it like i have as soon as possible, its lots of fun! Yeah, this box didnt have to much silver in it but that proof is a nice year, and its better than being skunked! Heck, im happy if i only find 1 silver. CM, after 2000 they only made some half dolalrs that were not intended for circulation. The mint only sold them in pricy rolls to collectors. The 2002 i have is probably worth only 2 bucks from the condition but still a nice find. Im not sure about the 2001 halves so i save the ones minted after that. There fun to look for. Thanks for looking!
