Went to an older playground area were playground was dismantled and the wood chips pushed away to prep for new equipment . In the corner of an older town park in New York State. Pulled out about 6 silvers in all including these. One is a 1871 shilling. How did that get there? lol ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447893677.043770.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447893692.601996.webp

Nice silvers. I wonder what else is there

That is strange, but still a great find!

Wow!!! what a great and lucky find!

Nice job sure looks like you'll have more to post soon.

I believe it is a one shilling. I looked at shillings online and the one shilling has the crown on top and the date is at the bottom. That's a cool coin to find.

Super nice find. I bet that had you smiling!

Excellent hunt and kudos to you for being on top of the rehabilitation project.

WOW !! That is a heck of a surprise! I would be stoked finding that shilling. Congrats and. HH

Very nice silvers. That Shilling could have been brought in the dirt or woodchips from anywhere. That's what makes this hobby so fun, expect the unexpected.
