while waiting for the 800 for husband. Picked up the 600 for me. Well 1st time out found mens large tungsten ring and a small gold band. 2nd time found small Swarovski Crystal post earring, small pin with With INFJ on it and the best surprise of all a 14k GOLD ROPE CHAIN WITH CROSS! The moment I touched it I was pretty sure it was at least 14k gold by the feel and best of all the chain was not broken. Its ready to wear. The machine does take some time to get used to. Although you can hear good targets in trashy areas it does take considerable effort in my opinion to pick out the good targets. The more I use the machine and experiment the easier it gets. So was it machine, skill, luck, or location? I know the answer. do you? LOL
PS. Along with those treasures there was the usual stuff. quarters, dimes, nickles, pennies, bottle caps....

If you don't have the hours on the machine, i would say you were digging everything to get used to the machine. In time, your good finds will go down as you get more comfortable with it. Just the same, congratulations on some very good finds!

Sounds to me also like everything but if we get too picky we miss stuff.

Thanks. I think I will just keep doing what Iv been doing as it seems to be working so far. Happy Hunting

MRS GOLD welcome to treasurenet. From Niagara Falls. You are absolutely right it does take time to learn this machine. I’ve been out 6 times with mine and I feel that I’m getting better with it every time I go out. Still haven’t tried field mode yet because I mostly beach hunt. Still lots to learn but I’ll keep digging everything that isn’t a minus vdi. Take care and HH.

that's pretty much what Iv been doing. No minus vdi. And fyi all the good targets I dug had good numbers and sounds so when I heard them I was maybe 95% sure they were good targets. Pretty much can tell when Its a bottle cap or foil. pull tabs are another story. So for now I will keep doing what Im doing. Oh and the last hunt was at a place known to my husband to give up treasures in the past. So I think skill, luck, location, machine. good luck and may gold be in your scoop.
