Hello all,,,
This one was so good I had to share it with you all.
I have been doing a lot of work around here lately. I put in a small garden, in the process of building a fence to keep my two year old niece in the yard this summer, and also doing some of the usual spring cleaning as well. By the end of the day I was pretty tired, but to my surprise I ended up detecting with one with one of my uncles, who I didn't even know had done any metal detecting. We were driving down an old country road and saw a small church. We hunted the yard and a small field next to it. No luck there so we decided to go across the road near and old barn that belong to a fellow he knew and still had no luck. Getting bored we decided to checkout the old barn just for fun. I hit the ground inside with the detector for a few and still had no luck. About that time the owner of the place showed up and we were chatting with him a few. He had no problem with us being there. He simply wanted to see who was on his property and see what we were up to. We talked about the detecting for a few and told him what we were looking for, old coins, gold, and other various treasure. About that time I noticed there was an old conveyor belt that was twisted the wrong way on one of the rollers that held it into place so, I bent down to straighten it out. In the process I had move some of the hay that was laying around and noticed something shinny on ground below it. It was a silver quarter, then another silver quarter, then yet another. There ended up being huge stack of them along with a bunch of silver dimes and even a few big silvers. I was freaking out by now, as it was the most silver I had ever seen in one place at one time. I didn't have my camera on me so, I drew a picture for ya's....

I didn't get to savor the moment for too long, as it was then I woke up and realized I was dreaming...
The experience was so real I am still exhausted from it. Sorry about the long story with no real treasure at the end, but you got to admit it's still a good story...
I did actually get out Sunday for about an hour and found a 1916/S wheat penny.
Good luck to all, & Happy hunting~
