Slow Year so far.

Well I managed to get out for a couple of hours today. Weather people said rain all day so I made plans to get caught up on a few things. No rain of course but lots of sun and wind. I hurried up and got the other things done and went to a field I have permission to be at. Walked the road mostly and looked at erosion spots due to the grass being tall now. Found a few keepers that had been washed out. I have found some nice points and scrapers in this field but was happy with what was given to me today. Small triangle is missing a ear by the way. On the last item which is red it could be natural but I will let you tell me on it. Also some of my latest stick and canes I have made. HH, rock
Well after looking at the black triangle closer it isnt broken or missing a ear.

Well the creek water is so darn high this year. It will go down but not for a couple of months. Believe it or not the black triangle is actually whole. Its worked on both sides and all the way around on the edges. I looked at it with my loop and couldnt find a break just a bulb of percussion on 1 corner.

Or another thought is that it was the tip of a bigger point that broke and was reworked to salvage it? How thick is it? ...and I agree with the others about the sticks!

Yes that did cross my mind. I find plenty of broken tips but this is the 1st one I found reworked. Looks to be a Mississippian point. Just enough to put on a arrow
